The GCR breed standard of a/an Exotic Bully (Supreme Bully) are as follows.


General Appearance

Medium sized dog with a smooth coat: dwarfed characteristics. Broad bodied and heavy boned with a large bulldoggish head. The overall appearance should reflect confidence and strength without giving an intimidating demeanor.

Size

Small to medium size dogs with compact frames.

  • Males range from 14 to 16 inches at the withers and weight ranges between 55 lbs to 75 lbs
  • Females range from 14 to 16 inches at the withers and weight ranges between 55 lbs to 75 lbs

Head

The skull should be slightly brachycephalic and large in proportion to the body. Top of the skull should be broad and flat. The stop should be prominent and deep and should not slope, There should be a good distance between the eyes without them being on the side of the head. Eyes should look strong but not bulged. The nose is to be flat or slightly pushed back. The muzzle should be short, broad, squared and heavy . Pointed or narrow muzzle is very undesirable. Cheeks should be prominent and should protrude sideways displaying a sharp chiseled look. Jowls should be broad and square also to match the cheeks and muzzle. The preferred bite is to be slightly undershot but scissor bite is accepted. Overbites and severe undershot jaws which cause the bottom teeth to show through the flews while the mouth is closed are very undesirable. The teeth should be fairly straight and canines should be large. Ears should have a medium crop. Natural ears in the show ring will have points docked.


Body

Neck should be broad and short and give toward wide and heavy shoulders. The body tapers slightly from the shoulders as it continues towards the rear but should widen at the rear. The rear should be wide, heavy and powerful for stability. Starting from the withers, the top line should be straight to the back and then slope moderately as it nears the rear. Forelegs should be short and give off a dwarfed appearance. They should be set wide apart without sacrificing proper movement. The bone should be straight and thick leading down to strong feet moderate to large in size. Not to be splayed. Same for the hind feet. Weak pasterns are very undesirable. Hindquarters are strong, short with hocks parallel and with stifles slightly turned out. Cow hocked, narrow or bandy legged undesirable. Chest is broad, full and heavy. Body is overall short in length, heavy and deep.


Tail

Tail should be full length, strong and not thin or whippy. Short or kinked are accepted but undesirable.


Coat

Coat is short, straight and smooth. Skin should be soft and slightly loose especially on the head and face with slight wrinkles but not to have hanging skin.

Rolling gait displaying shorter quicker steps but still unrestrained and unrestricted.


Temperament and Personality Traits

Social canines with confident attributes. Not aggressive to humans or other dogs. Moderately active and an intelligent breed.
